Well, after a couple of weeks off to take care of my wife and newborn daughter, it looks like I’ll be back to blogging regularly… thanks to Zach and Aaron for the guest posts the last couple of weeks!
Many thanks to all of you who sent your congratulations, or who said a prayer for a smooth delivery. Things have gone incredibly well, and both my wife and our little one are in great health. Our daughter is actually sleeping quite well, so we’re gratefully more well-rested than we anticipated. Our son, who is not quite 2-years-old, loves being a big brother: he sings “twinkle, twinkle little star” to his sister, and gently pats her while saying “don’t cry baby!”
While exhausted, I am feeling very joyful and spiritually refreshed. Last week, my wife let me sneak out of the house to go to Mass for my ninth First Friday. Those of you have read this blog for any length of time will know of my deep love for the Sacred Heart of Jesus, so it was an incredible joy to be able to arrive at this point in my devotion to it.
Today is actually the anniversary of my first post on this blog. I just want to say thank you all so much for reading…this blog has been a blast to write so far, and I’ve enjoyed so much the blogging friendships I’ve made along the way!

Happy, happy bloggiversary! It’s good to read that everything is well at home.
I made my ninth First Friday on February 3, 2012 – such a happy occasion! May your devotion to the Most Sacred Heart be a source of many graces to both you and your family!
